Last updated: August 6, 2026Pre-launch draft
Copyright notice: Copyright © 2026 NinePane Studio. All rights reserved. No license is granted except the limited permission expressly stated below.

1. What NinePane claims

To the extent protected by applicable law, NinePane Studio owns or licenses the original expression contained in the NinePane website and software, including:

  • Source code, compiled software, scripts, and original technical documentation.
  • Website copy, instructions, policy text, product demonstrations, screenshots, and audiovisual materials.
  • Original graphics, logo artwork, visual styling, and the creative selection and arrangement of interface elements.
  • The NinePane and NinePane Studio brand identifiers, subject to applicable trademark rights.

2. Ideas and functionality

Copyright protects original expression, not a general idea, concept, system, process, method of operation, or software functionality. This notice therefore does not claim exclusive copyright ownership over the abstract idea of displaying or controlling multiple windows.

NinePane reserves every right that may separately exist through trademark, contract, confidential information, trade-secret, patent, unfair-competition, or other applicable law.

3. Limited permission

You may view the public website for personal evaluation and, after launch, use subscribed software only through the access NinePane provides and only for the subscribed purpose. This permission is limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable.

4. Uses not permitted

Unless NinePane gives prior written permission or applicable law expressly allows the activity, you may not:

  • Copy, republish, distribute, sell, sublicense, mirror, frame, or commercially exploit protected NinePane materials.
  • Clone substantial protected portions of the website, interface expression, documentation, graphics, or demonstrations.
  • Obtain or attempt to obtain non-public source code, credentials, security controls, or confidential technical information.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or circumvent access controls, except to the narrow extent that law does not permit this restriction.
  • Remove or alter copyright, trademark, attribution, or ownership notices.
  • Use NinePane branding in a way that suggests affiliation, endorsement, or an official competing service.

5. Brand notice

NinePane, NinePane Studio, and the nine-pane logo are used as brand identifiers. They may not be used for software, websites, social accounts, advertising, domains, or services in a way likely to cause confusion. The ® symbol is not used unless and until a relevant mark is registered.

6. Third-party rights

TikTok, ByteDance, Stripe, Cloudflare, GitHub, and other third-party names and marks belong to their respective owners. Their appearance does not imply sponsorship or endorsement of NinePane.

7. Reporting suspected copying

Send a report to copyright@ninepane.com with your name and contact information, the protected NinePane material, the location of the suspected copy, a short explanation, and supporting screenshots or links. Do not submit passwords or unrelated personal information.

NinePane may request additional information needed to verify ownership, preserve evidence, contact the responsible service provider, or obtain legal advice.

8. No waiver

Failure to act immediately against one suspected infringement does not waive NinePane Studio's rights. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
